The history of «Agroprodservice» had started in June, 1999. The start was rather difficult, but the general manager of the company Ivan Chaikivsky made the household the key player. Today «Agroprodservice» is a corporation that works with different lines: crop farming, pig breeding, poultry-rearing, dairy cattle, seed farming, and fuel brick production. The manager of the household is Andriy Baran. The animal breeding line is managed by Roman Berezovskiy.
The basic activity of household is crop farming. The capacities of the company are situated in 11 districts of Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv regions. The land bank is about 40 thous. ha.
The crop growing occupies the lion’s share of production, particularly wheat, barley and corn. The sunflower, sugar beet and soya bean are planted too. The harvest is used for own feed production. The feed mill (capacity 40 thous. tones) in Nastasiv village covers the household’s requirements in feed.
In addition, «Agroprodservice», PAE is famous as elite economy of seed corns.
One of the priority areas of «Agroprodservice» is pig breeding. It’s active development started in 2005. Clever investments, setting up the work activities and staff’s education give the opportunity to crank up (from 360 to 3020 sows) during five years.
In spring 2006 the household became the nucleus and in 2009 — the status of a stud farm. Growing units for 4.5 thousand piglets were reconstructed parallel.
Developing the breeding work in 2007 «Agroprodservice» bought the replacement stock in Poland (380 guilts Landrace and boars Pietrain and Duroc). In 2010 the company had interested by Dutch genetics and bought 4000 sows and 40 boars in «Dan Bread» company. This year the company signed the contract for import of 10 thousand guilts from Denmark.
The main producing capacities are situated in Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk regions: sow units in villages Nastasiv (about 9 thous. sows) and Lanivtsi (1.3 thous. sows, general capacity — 2.5 thous. animals). Till the end of 2014 the company plans to set going one more sow unit for 860 sows in Terebovlia district. In villages Baikivtsi and Lanivtsi finishing units are situated, their capacities are 10 and 46 thous. heads, respectively. The household has its own genetic center, where 200 boars are hold and work the laboratory of artificial insemination. The company’s long-range plan — 45 thousands sows.
«Agroprodservice», PAE is one of the founders of Association of Pig Producers of Ukraine.
Except pig breeding, the corporation successfully grows meat- and milk-type cattle and broiler chicken.
The corporation’s capacities also include elevator complexes, situated in Nastasiv, Yastrubovo and Kozova villages (with railway connection). The total grain amount for preservation is 170 thous. tons. Laboratories in elevators control the grain quality.
