These issues will be the focus of the launch meeting “Strengthening the Resilience of Pig Production in Ukraine,” which will take place as part of the International Congress “Profitable Pig Production.”
The meeting will focus on an overview of the project and on answering a key question for producers: what support can pig farms expect?
The discussion will bring together representatives of FAS USDA, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Oksana Yurchenko, President of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders, the project’s technical experts, as well as Oleksandra Bondarska, Head of the Analytical Department of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders.
During the meeting, participants will learn more about the project’s objectives, areas of support, the role of partners and the practical importance of the initiative for Ukrainian pig farms.
The International Congress “Profitable Pig Production” will take place on 23 September 2026. The event will bring together producers, veterinary professionals, technologists, experts and industry partners to discuss solutions that can help pig businesses become more resilient, efficient and confident in responding to today’s challenges.

The International Congress “Profitable Pig Production” is one of the largest industry events not only in Ukraine but also beyond its borders. It is a platform for open discussion of all issues affecting Ukraine’s pig sector. Participants include pig producers, leading Ukrainian and international specialists, government representatives and experts from international organisations. The event will take place on 23 September and is organised by the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders, the Ukrainian Agri Council and agricultural consulting company DYKUN.
