Shipments of US pork to Taiwan more than doubled in the first quarter of 2026, while export value increased by nearly 90%.

US pork exports to Taiwan recorded strong growth in the first quarter of 2026, reaching their highest level since 2019. The figures are based on data released by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) and compiled by the US Meat Export Federation (USMEF).

From January to March, US pork exports to Taiwan exceeded 3,500 metric tons, totaling 3,585 metric tons—more than double the volume shipped during the same period last year.

Export value also increased significantly, rising 87% year-on-year to $8.5 million.

According to USMEF, these results signal a recovery for US pork in the Taiwanese market after several years of challenges and trade-related obstacles.
