Training session on biosafety and antimicrobial resistance tomorrow: don't miss it!

On 4 December 2024, the second online session will be held as part of a series of training events to strengthen biosecurity of pig farms and reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance. The event is organised by the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders with the support of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) as part of the project ‘Keeping Animals Healthy in Ukraine’.

Session topics:

  • Strengthening biosecurity: transport

Speaker: Vitalii Bashynskyi, international expert on biosecurity and food safety.

  • Ways of transmission of resistant strains. List of antimicrobials prohibited for use in Ukraine. The regulatory framework that will regulate the use of antibiotics in livestock in Ukraine.

Speakers: Oleksandr Revnivtsev, expert in the field of productive animal health and transboundary diseases, and Vitaliy Bashynskyi, international expert in biosafety and food safety.

  • Practical tips for disinfection

Speaker: Vitaliy Sokolov, expert in the field of productive animal health.

Time of the event: 10:00-13:00.
