Tomorrow, 11 December, the final online session of a series of training events for pig producers will be held to strengthen biosecurity of pig farms and reduce the risk of antibiotic resistance.

This session will be a unique opportunity to learn from leading experts on best practices for disease prevention, reducing antibiotic dependence and ensuring sustainable pig production.

Key topics of the session:

  • Effective strategies to improve biosecurity among staff.
  • Best practices for reducing antibiotic resistance in livestock production.
  • The role of diagnostics in monitoring herd health, optimising antibiotic use and combating resistance.

The session is organised within the framework of the international project ‘Keeping Animals Healthy in Ukraine’, implemented by the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders with the support of the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), which aims to raise standards in pig production.
