For the second week in a row, prices for slaughterhouse pigs fluctuate between 53-56 UAH/kg. Thus, according to most pork producers and live baiters, during the last auction, sales prices were mostly not revised, and the fluctuations that were recorded were limited to a change of 1 UAH/kg in both directions within the above range. The weighted average market price was 55.1 UAH/kg.
Representatives of meat processing mostly note that pork trade is going smoothly, although seasonally weaker than expected a few weeks earlier. The supply is currently described as sufficient, although there are some reports of a slight shortage of conditioned pork and a supply of live pork above the standard weight. Despite some differences in the assessment of the current market situation among procurers, most operators anticipate a positive shift in prices in the coming auctions.
