The participants of the event discussed the activities of pig breeding industry during the martial law and the factors that determine the conditions of the industry next year.
During the discussion Elena Dadus, Deputy Director of the Department — Head of Livestock and Livestock Breeding Department of the Ministry of Agrarian Development, outlined the situation on the pork market.
In particular, it was noted that according to the balance of supply and demand for meat and meat products in 2022, the forecast of pork production will amount to 625 thousand tons. This will ensure the consumption of 20 kg of pork per person per year under current conditions (in 2021 it was 19,9 kg).
During the current year was applied a number of financial support instruments, some of them will be continued next year, namely: available credits 5−7-9%, grants for the creation or development of processing enterprises, micro grants for the creation or development of own business, special budget subsidy for keeping cattle of all productivity types, budget subsidy per unit of cultivated farmland (1 ha) for agricultural activity
