Most pork producers adjusted planned prices by 1-2 UAH/kg downward during the bidding for the 27th week. Particularly, in the Eastern regions the price for industrial pork cutlets was UAH 56-58 per kg, in the Center it was UAH 58 per kg, and in the West it was UAH 55 per kg.
Representatives of meat processing industry state the weakening of trade activity at all levels of sales and transitional leftovers from the previous week. This has prompted a number of operators to revise volumes of procurement and planned purchase prices. According to feedback from processors, additional pressure on prices is caused by stocks of imported pork, made in anticipation of the abolition of tax benefits on imports.
