The key issue for exporters 2022 was adjusting to provide all the necessary processes in the completely changed realities of the functioning of the agricultural sector of the country. In general, for value-added products, the situation managed to stabilize and keep under control, and some items even showed growth. Total export revenues from meat and dairy products, potatoes and frozen vegetables increased. Moreover, revenues of exporters decreased for the overwhelming majority of fruits and vegetables, eggs, honey, cereals processed products and different confectioneries. At the same time, export prices for Ukrainian goods, including honey and eggs, continued to rise.

The value of exports of meat and by-products amounted to $ 925 million, which is 9% more than in 2021. The vast majority of revenue in this group was from poultry meat — 853 million dollars (+19%), although its quantitative volume of exports decreased by 10% to 413 thousand tons.

The revenue of Ukrainian exporters of honey decreased by 5%, amounting to 137 million dollars. In volume terms, export also decreased — 48 thousand tons (-17%). At the same time, there is a tendency to increase the cost of sweet product of beekeeping on the international market, last year 1 ton of honey cost $ 2853.

Proceeds from the export of fruits, berries and nuts by the end of 2022 amounted to $ 313 million, down from the record level of 2021 by 15%. The main income of the industrial enterprises received frozen berries and fruits — $ 192 million (- 11%), walnuts in the shells and without — $ 80 million (-30%), apples and pears — $ 19 million (+28%), berry crops — about $ 14 million (+12%). In terms of quantity changes, there was an increase in the segment of frozen fruits — 84 thousand tons (+11%), sunflower — 46 thousand tons (+56%), exports of berries — 4 thousand tons, but there was a decrease in the walnuts — 25 thousand tons (- 28%).
