Brazilian pork exports (considering all products, both fresh and processed) totalled 140,000 tonnes in April, according to the Brazilian Association of Animal Protein (ABPA), up 8.3% from 129,200 tonnes in the same month last year.

Export revenue reached US$328.2 million in the fourth month of the year, an 8.8% increase compared to April 2025, which totalled US$301.5 million.

In the first four months of the year, Brazilian pork exports reached 532,200 tonnes, a 14.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025, which totalled 466,000 tonnes. Accumulated revenue grew 14.1% to US$1.244 billion between January and April, compared to US$1.090 billion in the same period last year.

Among the main destinations in April, the Philippines led with 35,900 tonnes shipped, up 20.6% year-on-year. Japan followed with 16,600 tonnes (+131.9%), China with 11,800 tonnes (-21.6%), Chile with 11,100 tonnes (+22.8%), Hong Kong with 8,000 tonnes (-34.3%), Vietnam with 5,500 tonnes (+44.6%), Argentina with 5,300 tonnes (-8.7%), Singapore with 5,100 tonnes (-24.3%), Uruguay with 4,600 tonnes (+12.7%), and Mexico with 4,400 tonnes (-40.3%).

"The international flow of Brazilian pork remains quite positive in 2026, especially in Asian markets, which continue to expand their demand for animal protein," said Ricardo Santin, president of ABPA. "We observe significant progress in higher value-added destinations, such as Japan, in addition to the expansion of the Philippines as a major market for the Brazilian sector."

"The positive performance in virtually all importing markets reinforces the positive outlook projected by ABPA for this year," he added.
