Export revenue in May reached USD 291.1 million, which is 29.3% higher than in May 2024 (USD 225.2 million).
From January to May 2025, Brazil shipped a total of 584,800 tons of pork, up 15.4% from the same period in 2024 (506,600 tons). Total revenue for the first five months amounted to USD 1.381 billion, a 29.8% increase from last year’s USD 1.064 billion.
The Philippines emerged as the largest importer of Brazilian pork in May, buying 28,200 tons — a 115% increase compared to the same month in 2024. Other key markets included:
- China: 11,900 tons (-43%),
- Chile: 10,900 tons (+21%),
- Singapore: 8,300 tons (+7.1%),
- Japan: 8,200 tons (+60%).
Among Brazilian states, Santa Catarina remained the top pork exporter with 59,600 tons in May (+8.7% year-on-year), followed by:
- Rio Grande do Sul: 27,300 tons (+15.8%),
- Paraná: 19,200 tons (+28.9%),
- Mato Grosso: 3,000 tons (-10.2%),
- Minas Gerais: 2,900 tons (+25.1%).
These figures confirm Brazil’s continued momentum in strengthening its position on the global pork market, driven by rising demand and a diversified export strategy.
