Participants worked through key aspects of implementing new veterinary requirements, including prescription-based antibiotic use, the role of licensed veterinarians, record-keeping and traceability, as well as response algorithms in case of animal diseases.
At the same time, Poltava became the first venue where, alongside business representatives, separate training sessions were held for specialists of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and representatives of local communities. This approach made it possible to cover all levels — from producers to regulatory authorities and local governments.
A strong emphasis during the trainings was placed on practical application: participants analyzed real-life cases and practiced decision-making in typical production scenarios. According to the organizers, the main goal was to make the new veterinary requirements clear and applicable for those working “in the field.”
Such trainings are part of a broader systematic effort to combat antimicrobial resistance and implement modern approaches to animal health management. Involving representatives of the State Service and local communities is expected to strengthen coordination among all stakeholders and ensure effective implementation of the new veterinary regulations in practice.
The next series of trainings will take place on May 19–20 in Kyiv. Participation is free of charge, but the number of places is limited. For registration and additional information, please call: +380 68 862 94 96.
