A new modern pig farm of Agrofairm Kornatskykh, Ltd for 440 sow, is situated in Sekretarka village of Kryvoozerskiy region (Mykolaiv oblast). There are no other animal farm within a radius of 10km, than contributes to supporting of good biosecurity status.
In 2010, the enterprise contracted by a ewll-known genetic company PIC to establish a company's own breeding facility at the newly built farm of the enterprise. During the autumn of 2010 pigs and boars from Czech pedigree breeding centres were brought to the original farm . The last delivery was made in December 2010, and the first farrowing were received at the beginning of March, 2011. Main product of the breeding facility - 3-line cross oh Large White, Landrace and White Duroc with the highest health status.
Specialists of te farm every day analyse main production indicators, and veterunary researches are held only at the certified by PIC laboratories of Ukraine. Besides, they regularly receive technological suport and advices on farm management from consultants of PIC.
The first batch of the 3-line cross 90-100 kg sows will be avalible for selling to Ukrainian pig farms (production herds) in August - September, 2011. Director of the animal husbandry branch of the agrofirm Ihor Nahirniak is certain that excellent breeding characteristics of the animals offered by the farm will give other Ukrainian farms an opportunity to produce qulity pork with the lowest possible production costs.
Agrofairm Kornatskykh, Ltd is a big agricultural enterprise established by Arkadiy O. Kornatskyi. It successfully develops crop raising branch (more that 16 thous. ha of arable lands in Kryvoozerskyi and Pervomaiskyi regions of Mykolaiv oblast), pig production (more that 4 thous. heads by now, but they are planning to expand to 10 thous. heads), hores breeding, fur-farming and fishery. In the nearest future the farms plans to inlarge the capacity of its feed mill and also to build several absolutely new cattle farms for 600 - 1,000 heads.
