«According to the State Employment Service, unemployment in Ukraine is more than 35%. According to our data, the level of unemployed people in Ukraine has reached more than 40%. We conducted research in late August and early September and found that exactly 40% of Ukrainians lost their jobs because of the war,» Berezovskaya said.
«The main reasons for the loss of work Ukrainians named moving, the closure of companies and job cuts. That is, today the real figure of unemployment in Ukraine is more than 40%, another 22% of Ukrainians indicated that they have a job, but receive incomplete wages,» she added.
51% of Ukrainian workers are ready to retrain for the sake of employment. Every tenth already gets a new profession.
The majority of Ukrainian specialists, not finding a job in their profession, either already get a new profession or plan to do it in the near future.
Among the most acceptable professions for those who leave office work, Ukrainians named completing, driver, farmer, gardener, vegetable grower, as well as cook and beauty care specialist.
As it has been reported, the governmental program «eRobota» has already received more than 11,5 thousand applications for grants from entrepreneurs and people who want to start or expand their own business. The project «eRabota» includes 6 grant programs aimed at stimulating entrepreneurial activity. Particularly, micro grants programs for starting or developing own business, grants for establishing and developing processing enterprises, establishing orchards and vineyards, greenhouse farming, support for IT start-ups and start-ups in the IT sphere.
