European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski said that Ukrainian grain exports are approaching 2 million tons per month.

Due to Russia's blockade of seaports, Ukraine cannot export 22 to 25 million tons of grain. This is fraught with hunger in a number of countries of the world, because Ukrainian grain accounts for almost half of the deliveries within the framework of the UN World Food Program.

The UN Global Crisis Response Team said the war "has deepened a global cost-of-living crisis not seen in at least a generation" and undermines the UN's ambition to end global poverty and achieve 16 other goals for a better world by 2030.
