Ukraine’s international debut was announced during the Global Meat Forum and Pig Conference held in St. Pölten, Austria. The event gathered over 200 participants from 26 countries. Ukraine’s pig industry was presented by Oleksandra Bondarska, Head of the AUPB’s Analytical Department. Her presentation focused on the country’s consistently high self-sufficiency in pork production, growing export potential, and systemic efforts to improve sectoral efficiency.
“This year, we have shifted from being an observer to becoming an active participant. Joining the Agribenchmark system is not only an opportunity to introduce Ukraine to the global stage, but also to deeply reflect on our internal reserves and potential,” Bondarska emphasized.
The AUPB invites all industrial pig farms, regardless of size, to participate in the benchmarking project.
“Participation is entirely voluntary and anonymous. The most important factors are the willingness to share information and the openness to use the insights gained for future development,” noted the association’s analysts.
