The main indicators by which production efficiency can be monitored are water consumption, feed consumption and average daily gains. In many pig farms, this information is collected manually and recorded on information panels, such as a conventional board. However, nowadays the digitalization of the industry makes it possible to collect all data on a personal computer or a cell phone. In this way, employee time is optimized, data quality and accuracy are increased, and a user-friendly interface makes it possible to enter data in a convenient way and get information on every production parameter. In addition, the program sends a warning in real time if any of the indicators «lags» from the set norm.
For example, one of the important points in the production process is the feed change. The program shows its effect on piglet growth. For example, the piglets lost almost 200 grams of growth per day when they switched to another feed. With this data, the technologists decide either to adjust the formulation or to make a smoother transition between feeds. In this way it will be possible to keep the indicators as close to the target as possible and ensure a good production result.
