Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/467 of 23 March 2022 establishing exceptional adjustment aid for producers in the agricultural sectors will provide Member States with a total of €500 million in EU aid for farmers to counter the effects of the war in Ukraine.
Germany will receive around EUR 60 million of this exceptional aid and, in addition, the federal government will provide a further EUR 120 million, which means that the crisis reserve will have a total of EUR 180 million allocated to the German sectors most affected by the war in Ukraine, which are horticulture, viticulture, poultry farming, and pig production.
In the case of swine production, the amounts of aid are:
- Finishing pigs: €128 per 100 fattening pigs raised on average,
- Piglets: 32 euros per 100 piglets raised on average,
- Sows: 99 euros per sow.
The aid is limited to a maximum of 15,000 euros per company. Payment must be made before September 30, 2022.
