According to a correspondent of "European Pravda," the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said this at a press conference with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Schmigal.
"Last year the European Union abolished all duties and quotas for goods from Ukraine. Today I am pleased to announce that we will propose to extend this trade regime for next year to help Ukraine," she said.
Let us recall that in May the European Union adopted a decision exempting Ukrainian exports from duties for a year.
The decision took effect on June 4. It should help Ukrainian producers and exporters to bear the burden of the war and strengthen their positions on the European market. A similar decision was later introduced for goods from Moldova.
The Ukrainian government has repeatedly stated its desire to continue such a regime further.
