The mission includes more than 77 companies from 19 EU Member States, representing sectors such as meat products, wine and spirits, fruits and vegetables, as well as processed agricultural goods. The initiative aims to help European exporters strengthen business relations and expand their presence in the Brazilian market, which holds significant growth potential for EU exports.
Agenda of the visit:
- On Tuesday and Wednesday, the delegation will take part in seminars on market access, retail site visits, and meetings with the Commissioner — all designed to support the expansion of European businesses in Brazil.
- On Thursday, Commissioner Hansen will meet with Luis Rua, Secretary of Commerce and International Relations at Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture. He will then deliver a keynote speech at a Business Forum focused on the importance of trade agreements in supporting EU exports. During the event, the Commissioner will give interviews to both EU-based and Brazilian journalists and engage in discussions with representatives of Brazil’s agricultural sector at the Federation of Industries and Agriculture of São Paulo.
This visit highlights the EU’s proactive approach to strengthening its global trade position and expanding new markets for its agri-food products.
