«According to Regulation No. 870, the European Union this year suspended for Ukrainian goods all anti-dumping duties, all tariff quotas, duties for industrial products and the application of the system of minimum entry prices for fruits and vegetables. This preferential treatment will be applied until 5 June 2023», Podlasa said.
According to Podlasa, the preferential regime has a positive effect on the volume of trade of Ukrainian goods in the European Union. Thus, exports to the EU for 3 quarters of this year exceeded the prewar level by 6.3% (or $ 1.2 billion). Export of corn, sunflower oil, sunflower seeds, wheat and electricity increased the most in monetary terms.
«In general, in conditions when the forecasted fall of Ukraine's GDP by the end of the year will be from 30% to 35%, we have to use all possible instruments to support Ukrainian producers. Our common task is to convince the Europeans to listen to the proposal to extend preferential treatment», — emphasized the deputy chairman of the Committee.
