According to the results of the last auction of October, the commercial livestock for sale this week was ‘painted’ by 3.5-6 UAH/kg more expensive than a week earlier. Thus, the price of a kilogram of live pork ranges from 59-60 UAH/kg, tending to the upper end of the range in all regions, except for the East. Although there are occasional offers of 58 UAH/kg in the eastern regions, these are exceptions.
Feedback on the current level of supply and demand from processing companies varies significantly. Some of them are already experiencing a limited supply of conditioned cuttings, with some noting additional orders from customers at the beginning of the week. Others, on the contrary, state that the existing supply of cuttings is sufficient, and the sales process is slower than they would like. However, those operators who did share their expectations for further price fluctuations do not currently see any prerequisites for price cuts. On the contrary, some of them are set to stabilise, and some expect a further moderate rise of 2-4 UAH/kg at the upcoming auction.
The results of the weekly monitoring of purchase prices from processors can be found in this section.
