Also, according to Cem Ozdemir, Germany is preparing a joint project worth 5 million euros for the development of domestic horticulture.
Mykola Solskyy, in turn, noted that the project is very relevant for Ukraine on the background of the government programme, which provides an opportunity to receive a grant for the development of domestic horticulture, berrying and viticulture, and which enjoys great popularity among the farmers. Thus, during the five months since its launch grants for more than 240 million UAH have been agreed upon.
In addition, the ministers discussed the strengthening of cooperation in the implementation of the initiative Grain from Ukraine. Mykola Solskyy took the opportunity to thank Germany for being one of the first to join this humanitarian programme and financed the transportation of the ship carrying grain from Ukraine to Ethiopia.
"Many countries have indicated that they are willing to participate in this programme. This is important from several aspects. Firstly, it is fundamentally right in terms of humanitarian relations in the world. Secondly, Africa needs to know who really cares about them and which country's actions are causing them to suffer. We are working to ensure that the grain corridor continues for as long as possible so that we can get our food to where it is needed all the time. And, of course, we will be grateful for further support from our partners," Mykola Solskyy said.
