Ukraine has harvested 29 million tons of grain

As of October 21, grain and leguminous crops in Ukraine were threshed on 7.4 million hectares, which is 67% of the planned area, of which 29 million tons of grain were harvested, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy reported.

As noted, currently the harvesting of late crops continues:

  • corn for grain is threshed on 528 thousand hectares (12%), threshed 2.7 million tons (yield 50.7 c/ha);
  • buckwheat was threshed on 104 thousand ha (88%), 141 thousand tons were threshed (13.9 centners/ha)
  • millet was threshed on 42 thsd. ha (93%), threshed 97 thsd. t (23,3 centners/ha).

As for the oilseeds, the sunflower is already harvested on the area of 3.2 million hectares (68%), of which 7 million tons of seeds were threshed at the yield of 21.9 cwt/ha. The soybean is harvested from 798 thousand hectares (52%), 1.9 million tons were threshed at a yield of 23.6 cwt/ha.

Sugar beets were dug up on an area of 89 thousand hectares (49%), 4.2 million tons were produced with the yield of 478 cwt/ha.
