According to export statistics available to analysts of IA "APK-Inform", in July 2022 1.7 million tons of grain crops were shipped from Ukraine to foreign markets, which is by 21% more than the exported volume in June this year (1.4 million tons), but by 45% less than a year earlier (3.1 million tons).

Corn continues to lead in the structure of grain export, but the share of wheat and barley in the total volume of shipments is gradually increasing. The reported month corn export amounted to almost 1.2 million tons, which amounted to 71% of the total volume of grain supplies and appeared to be 4% less than in June of the current year, Wheat exports in July 2021 increased by 2.6 times compared to June, and reached 376,100 tons (22% of total grain exports), but 61% less than in July 2021. Barley exports in July rose to 149,700 tons (9% of total exports), which is 4.1 times higher than in June this year, but 86% less than in June 2021, but 86% lower than exports in July 2021.

It is expected that grain exports from Ukraine may intensify in August, against the background of the agreement "The initiative for the safe transportation of grain and food products from Ukrainian ports" signed in Istanbul on July 22, 2022, which aims to unblock the export of agricultural products from the three ports of Ukraine - Odessa, Chernomorsk and Yuzhny.

According to IA "APK-Inform", in the prewar period 2021/22 MY maximum monthly exports of major grain crops from the three ports amounted to a total of 3.6 million tons, which is 2.2 times higher than in July exports of grain by alternative routes.
