The meat and dairy market has been significantly affected by the destruction or destruction of livestock facilities, disruption of supply chains and technology, a significant outflow of qualified personnel, consumer market imbalances, and energy supply.

"The most negative full-scale aggression of Russia affected the pork market, as the largest pork producers were in Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions - regions of active combat operations or occupied by the aggressor. According to the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, these three regions accounted for 26% of pork production by agricultural enterprises in slaughter weight last year," states Yuriy Lupenko, director of the National Scientific Center "Institute of Agrarian Economics", academician of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences.

According to estimates of the Institute of Agrarian Economics, until the end of 2022 the price of processed grain products such as cereals and flour will not rise, even there may be a slight decrease to 5%. However, during the first half of 2023 prices for cereals are expected to rise by an average of 10-15%.

Price fluctuations in the meat market depend on the intensity and duration of hostilities.
