Last year, despite all the challenges associated with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation, was fruitful for Ukraine in terms of expanding international markets. Despite the restrictions on visits of foreign inspectors to our country and thanks to the coordinated cooperation of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, 22 forms of international veterinary certificates for the export of objects of state veterinary and sanitary control and supervision from Ukraine to 12 countries were agreed, namely:

Albania — semi-finished meat products;

Georgia — snails for human consumption;

Dominican Republic — milk and dairy products;

Israel — ornamental freshwater fish;

Israel — live rabbits

Israel — chewing items for pets;

Israel — fresh frozen hides and skins;

Israel — processed skins and hides;

Canada — poultry and poultry products;

Kenya — milk and dairy products;

North Macedonia — chewing items for pets;

North Macedonia — canned pet food;

North Macedonia — raw pet food for direct sale or by-products of animal origin for feeding fur-bearing animals;

Singapore — pet food;

Serbia — hatching eggs;

Serbia — canned pet food;

Serbia — processed pet food;

Turkey — processed animal protein products (not for human consumption);

Turkey — fish products;

Pakistan — table eggs.

Montenegro — semi-finished meat products intended for human consumption;

Montenegro — meat products, processed stomachs, bladders, intestines.

It is also worth noting that during the year, the number of enterprises producing products of animal origin that have the right to export their products to the European Union increased to 432, which is 53 more than at the beginning of 2022. For comparison, in 2021, 23 companies received this right.

This positive trend in increasing the number of Ukrainian exporters to the European market is extremely important in the context of Ukraine's status as a candidate country for accession to the European Union. We will continue to work in this direction and, as we fulfill the requirements of the Association Agreement with the EU as part of our commitments to join the European Union, this figure will increase every day.

We remind you that the first step to export food products is a request from the market operator to the territorial body of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection at the place of location.
