The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) together with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food are implementing a program to provide farmers with temporary grain storage equipment (grain sleeves). Thanks to the support of the governments of Canada, Japan, and Minderoo Foundation, Ukrainian farmers will receive more than 30,000 grain sleeves with a capacity of 200 tons, which covers 30% of the national deficit of granaries.

As a continuation of this program, FAO and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food are starting to register for distribution of 105 sets of special equipment for loading and unloading grain sleeves. Each kit consists of one loader, one unloader and one hopper-loader.

The registration will take place in two stages: the first stage is dedicated to the registration of the equipment recipients; the second stage involves the selection of the final equipment recipients chosen by the agricultural producers who have previously received the grain sleeves from FAO.

The first phase will run through Dec. 11 and is available through a program in the State Agricultural Registry (SAR): "Obtaining Grain Storage Sleeve Loading Equipment from FAO."

Under this phase, potential recipients (operators) of equipment that are willing to provide grain sleeve loading and unloading services on a commercial basis can register. The application should specify the information about the existing similar technique on the balance sheet of the enterprise, the scope of services and the range of the cost of services for loading and unloading of sleeves.

The second stage will last from December 4 to 11, with the name of the program in the GAR "Selection of the recipient of equipment - service provider for loading sleeves for grain storage received from the FAO.
