An outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) was recorded in the village of Orlovschina, Novomoskovsk district, Dnipropetrovsk region. This is stated in the message of the Peschanka rural united territorial community with reference to the data of the Novomoskovsk district department of the Main Department of State Supervisory Service in Dnepropetrovsk region.

Pig producers in Poland have started to feel more optimistic since no new African swine fever (ASF) outbreaks have been reported at pig farms in the country since 14 July 2022. At the peak of the ASF epidemic, the country registered 30 to 40 outbreaks per month.

The number of cases of African swine fever in Ukraine has been declining in recent years. This is stated in the report of the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The purchases help increase U.S. preparedness to respond to high-consequence foreign animal diseases.
