France begs Olympic visitors not to bring in ASF
Since African Swine Fever (ASF) is coming ever closer to the borders of France, the department of agriculture in Paris has intensified its warnings to visitors and foreign workers by asking them to take every possible precaution to prevent the deadly disease from coming into the country.

ASF Germany: 9th farm confirmed infected
German authorities have reported a 9th pig farm to be infected with African Swine Fever. The virus was confirmed in a finishing farm in the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in the country’s north east.

ASF Europe: 3,000 cases in pigs since May 2023
British reports have shown that in the 7 months since May 2023, 2,920 cases of African Swine Fever (ASF) were reported in domestic pigs in Europe. In wild boar, the number of known cases in the same period came to 3,600.

ASF spreads to new region in South Korea
This was the first outbreak of 2024 and the first case of African swine fever in the Gyeongbuk region.
