The World Bank has Allocated over $ 130 Million to Ukraine for Food Security

The World Bank has allocated $ 132 million to Ukraine to ensure food security. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance.

«We are grateful to the World Bank for the funding provided. The funds raised will continue to maintain the financial stability of Ukraine and reimburse priority costs, in particular in the agricultural sector, to improve the situation in the food industry and ensure food security of Ukraine,»  said Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko.

It is reported that the loan was provided under an agreement between Ukraine and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). These credit funds came into the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine as a result of the measures envisaged under the program «Acceleration of Private Investments in Agriculture».
