Pork Exports Brought Significant Profits to U.S. Corn and Soybean Production

According to an independent U.S. study, the record value of pork and beef exports brought significant profits to the U.S. corn and soybean industry in 2022. According to the study, U.S. pork and beef exports brought an overall economic impact of 15% per bushel of corn value and 13% per bushel of soybean value in 2022.

Beef and pork exports totaled 503.4 million bushels (12.8 million tons) of U.S. corn use, equal to a market value of $3.4 billion (with an average corn price of $6.75/bushel (25.4 kg).

Pork exports were 89.7 million bushels of U.S. soybeans (2.44 million tons), equal to a market value of $1.33 billion (at an average price of $14.83/bushel).
