Polish Deputy Minister of Agriculture Michal Kolodziejczak, who was elected to the Sejm on the list of Prime Minister Donald Tusk's Civic Coalition, said that it is necessary to close the agricultural market for Ukraine for 20 years after its accession to the EU.

The official commented that Ukrainian agriculture is dominated by 95 farms, which are holdings that own half of the agricultural land in Ukraine. He emphasized that Poland must protect its interests in this context and cited Germany as an example, which froze the labor market for Poles for 8 years when Poland joined the EU.

"Today we have to talk about the fact that agri-food products from Ukraine - raw and processed - should not enter Poland, for example, for 20 years after Ukraine's accession to the EU," Kolodziejczak emphasized.
