2020 brought many «surprises» for global pig production: the COVID-19 pandemic, the closure of major meat processors in the US, Canada and Europe, the economic crisis…

Oleksandra Bondarska, the head analyst of the Association of Ukrainian Pig Breeders will tell how these negative factors affected Ukrainian pork producers during XII International Congress “Profitable Pig Production!

Overall, 2020 has been a turbulent year for the global economy. At the congress Profitable Pig Production we will analyze whether it was as critical and difficult for domestic pig production, in what conditions the operators worked, how it affected their plans for further development. In addition, several global corona-trends have emerged during the pandemic, which also cannot be ignored”, explained Oleksandra Bondarska.

In addition, traditionally during the International Congress «Profitable Pig Production» results of the next benchmarking research among domestic pig farms will be announced:

Benchmarking allows not only to compare production and economic performance with other operators in the industry, but also helps to identify weaknessesof the production process and the formation of an “action chart for further development. This year, almost 30 farms have already joined the survey, but there is still an opportunity to join the circle of respondents”, said the analyst.
